Restaurant Manager

Hawker Hotel Motel is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to join our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our hospitality venue in Hawker, South Australia. Our venue includes a bistro/restaurant, bar/pub operations, and associated bottle shop services, providing lunch and dinner dining experiences for our local community and visitors. We are looking for a skilled hospitality professional who can manage restaurant operations, lead a team, maintain high service standards, and support the efficient operation of the venue.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage daily restaurant and bistro operations, including lunch and dinner services.

Oversee bar and hospitality operations to ensure quality customer service.

Supervise, train, and coordinate front-of-house and hospitality staff.

Prepare staff rosters and manage staffing requirements.

Maintain food safety, workplace health and safety, and liquor compliance standards.

Monitor stock levels, ordering, suppliers, and cost control.

Manage customer service standards and resolve operational issues.

Assist with improving operational efficiency and maintaining a positive workplace culture.

Support the overall management of the venue’s hospitality operations.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

The successful applicant will have:

Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar hospitality management role.

A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.

Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, staff management, and customer service.

Experience managing a busy hospitality environment.

Ability to lead a team and work independently.

Understanding of food safety, workplace safety, and hospitality compliance requirements.

Strong organisational and communication skills.

Experience managing multiple hospitality operations, including restaurant and bar environments, will be highly regarded.
