About the Role
Tenure: Fixed-term full time (until 16 April 2027) with the possibility of extension and/or permanency, depending on business requirements
The Strategy, Performance and International Engagement Group shapes and aligns strategy, policy, planning, evaluation and communication across the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification to ensure effective delivery, resource utility and a continued focus on Government’s priorities. The Group also leads the Government’s investment, trade and international engagement agenda.
Within the Group, the International Education team leads the State’s strategy, engagement and positioning of Western Australia’s international education sector and study destination globally. The team works collaboratively across government and with the international education sector to align priorities, foster partnerships and deliver initiatives that enhance the State’s reputation, competitiveness and international engagement.
We are seeking a highly organised Marketing and Communications officer to contribute to the offshore marketing of Western Australia’s international education sector, including developing and delivering marketing activities in key international markets. You will manage projects and campaigns from planning and implementation, to evaluation, coordinate activities with Education Business Development Managers (EBDMs), in-market contractors, and third-party suppliers. Additionally, you will prepare project documentation, manage budgets and timelines, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You should possess experience in managing the development, implementation and evaluation of integrated marketing strategies and campaigns, along with experience in contract and project management.
