Consultant Geriatrician

We are currently partnering with a large and highly regarded metropolitan public health service in South Australia to recruit Consultant Geriatricians to join their growing geriatric medicine department.

About the service

You will be joining a progressive and well-established geriatric medicine department providing comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and community-based services for older adults.

The department includes dedicated geriatric evaluation and management services, rehabilitation, acute care of older persons, emergency intervention services, consultative geriatrics, outpatient clinics and community outreach programs. There is also strong collaboration with rehabilitation, palliative care, aged care and community health teams.

The service places a strong focus on multidisciplinary care, quality improvement and contemporary models of geriatric medicine. Consultants are actively involved in teaching junior medical staff and contributing to ongoing service development across the network.

The broader health network services a large and diverse metropolitan population and has recently undergone significant investment and expansion across several specialties and facilities.
