Manager, Client & Technical Services – NSW

Newcastle or Erina | Full Time | NSW Travel Required

Coastal Advisory Australia is looking for an experienced Manager, Client & Technical Services to lead our NSW Client & Technical Services team.

Reporting to the Head of Client & Technical Services, you’ll lead a team across Technical Services, Client Services and Adviser Associates, with responsibility for people leadership, operational performance, service delivery and capability development.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands financial advice, knows how a high-performing advice support function should operate and, importantly, knows how to lead and develop people.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Lead, coach and develop the NSW Client & Technical Services team.
• Manage workflow, capacity, priorities and service delivery across the region.
• Build team capability through regular coaching, feedback and performance management.
• Drive consistent ways of working and embed Coastal’s processes and service standards.
• Partner closely with Regional Managers and Advisers to ensure effective and consistent support.
• Use reporting and operational data to identify capacity constraints, service issues and improvement opportunities.
• Support the onboarding and integration of new employees and acquired businesses.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need:

• Strong experience within financial advice and Client & Technical Service Support.
• Previous experience managing and leading people.
• Strong working knowledge of Xplan.
• Strong platform knowledge and experience
• Demonstrated experience managing workflows, competing priorities and service delivery.
• Strong coaching, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• The ability to lead teams through change and build accountability.
• The ability to work collaboratively with Advisers and senior leaders.

Highly regarded:

• Experience onboarding or integrating teams through Mergers and Acquisitions.
• Experience with Wealth Central.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed or remote teams.
• Experience implementing process improvements and consistent operating standards.
