Draftsperson - Cabinet Vision

We are a well-established business based on Brisbane’s northside in Brendale. We service the high-end domestic joinery market and work with many of Brisbane’s most prestigious builders and architects.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated, skilled Draftsperson to join our team on a long-term basis.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a drafting role within the commercial and/or residential joinery industry.

• Extensive experience with a high level of proficiency with Cabinet Vision is essential.

• Generation of material and hardware  orders from the Cabinet Vision Bid Centre in line with project requirements.

• Maintenance of Cabinet Vision libraries, User Created Standards (UCSs), and Active Parts.

• Strong understanding of joinery design, manufacturing, and installation processes.

• Ability to  interpret architectural drawings, plans, and specifications.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working with minimal supervision.

• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate shop drawings using Cabinet Vision.

• Generate cutting lists, CNC programs, and production documentation.

• Produce accurate material take-offs and hardware schedules from the Cabinet Vision Bid Centre.

• Order materials and hardware in accordance with project requirements and production schedules.

• Develop, maintain, and improve Cabinet Vision libraries, Active Parts, and UCSs to increase efficiency and consistency.

• Work closely with General Manager and Operations Manager to ensure drawings are accurate and manufacturable

• Maintain drawing revisions and ensure documentation is up to date throughout each project.
