Altitude Charging is a Melbourne-based specialist EV charging company delivering commercial, workplace, multi-residential and public EV charging infrastructure across Melbourne and Victoria.

We’re growing our team and looking for an A Grade Electrician / EV Charging Technician to join our small, experienced team.

This is not a traditional electrical role. We are looking for someone who wants to specialise in EV charging technology and become part of a rapidly growing industry.

The Role

Working as part of our installation team, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning and servicing of EV charging infrastructure across a range of projects.

Your work will include:

• Installation and commissioning of AC and DC EV chargers

• Installation of electrical infrastructure associated with EV charging

• Cable installation, termination and testing

• Installation of switchboards, protection and associated equipment

• EV charger commissioning and configuration

• Installation and configuration of load management systems and power metering equipment

• Fault finding and troubleshooting

• Working with EV charging software and network platforms

• Testing and verifying completed installations

• Working on commercial, multi-residential and public charging projects

• Working closely with our technical and project teams to deliver high-quality installations

About You

We’re looking for an electrician who wants to specialise, not simply add EV chargers to their existing electrical work.

You will have:

• A Grade Electrical Licence

• Current Australian driver's licence – essential

• Strong electrical knowledge and practical skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• A professional approach and pride in your workmanship

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• The ability to work independently and as part of a small team

• A genuine interest in EV technology, renewable energy and electrification

• A willingness to learn and develop specialist skills

Experience in EV charging, commercial solar or industrial instrumentation is highly advantageous, but not essential. Full on-the-job training will be provided to the right candidate.
