About the role
Make a meaningful difference with us
We’re looking for someone who wants to make the world a little better through small moments that leave big impacts.
This is an opportunity to build something truly impactful. As General Manager, Data and Insights, you will establish and mature UnitingCare's organisation-wide data capability, creating the governance, platforms and trusted data products that will underpin every major reporting, analytics and AI initiative across the organisation. This role will unlock the value of data as a strategic asset, enabling AI adoption, richer insights and better decisions that improve outcomes for the hundreds of thousands of people who rely on our services each year.
Your part in our UnitingCare team:
Set the strategic direction and operating rhythm for UnitingCare Queensland’s organisation-wide data capability, establishing the trusted, governed and auditable foundations required for reporting, analytics and AI-enabled decision-making.
Lead the end-to-end strategy, investment and delivery of organisation-wide data platforms, data hubs and governed data products, ensuring data is high-quality, secure, reusable and able to generate organisational value.
Establish a whole-of-organisation data operating model that reduces duplication, strengthens accountability and enables consistent, scalable data practices across projects, domains and platforms.
Partner with executives, senior leaders and business teams to shape data priorities, enable federated reporting and analytics, and build the data literacy required to turn information into insight and action.
Provide the governance, access models and control environment required to accelerate safe, scalable and sustainable adoption of AI and advanced analytics across UnitingCare.
What makes a difference for us?
Senior leadership experience in organisation-wide data strategy, data platforms, data governance, data products or related data transformation environments.
Demonstrated ability to build trusted, scalable and governed data capability across complex, federated organisations.
Strong stakeholder partnering and influencing capability, with the credibility to translate business needs into clear data requirements, standards and reusable outcomes.
Experience improving data quality, consistency, lineage, security, privacy and auditability across core systems and reporting environments.
A change leadership mindset, with the ability to reduce fragmentation and shift teams toward common standards, reusable patterns and sustainable ways of working.
Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policy, including Nationally Coordinated Police Check, Right to Work in Australia and Insolvency Check. Additional checks may apply depending on final role requirements.
