About the role

Proselec Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Electrical Apprentice to join our growing team in Melbourne, VIC 3004. This is a full-time apprenticeship opportunity that will provide you with comprehensive training and hands-on experience in the electrical trades. As an Electrical Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced electricians, learning essential skills whilst contributing to the delivery of quality electrical services to our clients. This role is pivotal in developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople and represents an excellent entry point into a rewarding career in the electrical industry.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting qualified electricians with the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment

• Learning and applying safe working practices, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and standards

• Preparing and organising tools, materials and work sites under supervision

• Testing electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely

• Maintaining accurate records of work completed and time spent on various tasks

• Attending and completing formal training at an accredited training provider as part of your apprenticeship

• Developing knowledge of electrical theory, wiring practices, and industry codes and standards

• Communicating effectively with supervisors, colleagues and clients to ensure work is completed to specification

What we're looking for

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety practices

• 2nd year and above with domestic / maintenance experience

• Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in various environments

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly from experienced tradespeople

• Reliability, punctuality and a professional attitude towards work

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• A current or willingness to obtain a Driver's License (preferred)
