With two primary locations in Joondalup and Nedlands, Linear conducts a broad range of clinical trials across cancer, early phase, and general medicine
This role is primarily located at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Nedlands and is offered on a full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week. You will be required to undertake training at both our Nedlands and Joondalup site.
Your Role in Our Future
With the support of a Research Nurse and wider clinic team you will conduct a range of clinical screening activities and assessments to determine the eligibility of clinical trial participants in line with study protocols and procedures. Full training will be provided enabling you to carry out taking bloods and other sample collection along with recording height, weight and other screening data points. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring a positive participant experience and will have the opportunity to collaborate with wider teams across Linear.
Some of your duties will include;
Perform clinical procedures including ECGs, blood collection, venepuncture and cannulation (experience in clinical observations are preferred and full training will be provided).
Liaise with the lab team to support the correct storage and transfer of biological samples.
Carry out inventory stock checks, collating trial packs and ordering of clinical supplies.
Record and enter patient data accurately using study specific software.
Liaise with participants, patients and third party vendors to book appointments for clinical procedures.
Your Experience
The successful applicant will be a strong team player with demonstrated experience working in a patient facing or customer service-based role in a time sensitive environment. You will have experience working in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a high standard of work and adhering with timeframes and protocols.
Previous experience in a health, medical or patient facing environment (desirable).
Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple tasks.
Strong computer literacy.
Ability to work in adherence to strict policies and procedures.
