INTERMEDIATE TAX SPECIALIST - LARGE QLD MULTI OFFICE ACCOUNTING FIRM - BRISBANE OFFICE (JOB ID 971)

We are recruiting an Intermediate Tax Specialist to join a respected advisory and accounting firm with a strong presence across Queensland. This role provides hands‑on experience with a range of tax compliance and advisory work, exposure to diverse clients, and the chance to build your technical capability in a collaborative and growth‑oriented team. 

The Role: 

• Prepare and review tax returns for a variety of client types including companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals 

• Assist with GST, FBT and other taxation compliance work 

• Help translate complex tax legislation into clear, practical outcomes for clients 

• Support senior advisors with tax planning, research and advisory engagements 

• Liaise with clients to gather information, respond to enquiries and maintain strong working relationships 

• Contribute to quality documentation and timely delivery of work within compliance deadlines 

About You: 

• CA/CPA qualified or actively working towards their professional qualification 

• Experienced (typically 2–4 years) in Australian public practice tax and business services 

• Confident preparing tax returns, BAS and related compliance work 

• Strong technical tax knowledge with a sound understanding of Australian tax laws 

• Highly organised with attention to detail and strong time management skills 

• A clear communicator with a client‑focused, professional approach 

• A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow
