Truck Driver – HR & HC / MC | Multiple Positions

Perth Transport and Tilt Tray, part of the Simmonds Group, provides transport and logistics services across Perth and regional Western Australia.

Our operations support a range of industries, including steel, manufacturing, construction and general freight, with services including tilt tray transport, machinery and vehicle transport, container transport and other specialized transport solutions.

About the Role

Perth Transport and Tilt Tray is seeking reliable and experienced Truck Drivers to join our transport team.

We are currently recruiting for two separate full-time positions:

• 1 x HR Truck Driver – Landsdale | HIAB experience required

• 1 x HC/MC Truck Driver – Swayers Valley

Both positions involve the safe transportation, loading and unloading of steel products, fabricated components, machinery, freight and other materials across Perth.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate HR, HC and/or MC vehicles in accordance with road transport regulations.

• Deliver and collect steel products, fabricated components, machinery and other materials.

• Load, unload and secure a variety of loads safely and efficiently.

• Operate HIAB equipment where required.

• Use a forklift to assist with loading and unloading where required.

• Complete daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues.

• Complete delivery dockets, paperwork and other required documentation.

• Ensure all loads are correctly secured and comply with load restraint requirements.

• Follow fatigue management, workplace health and safety procedures.

• Maintain a professional and courteous manner when dealing with customers and site personnel.

• Work collaboratively with dispatch and operations teams to support efficient transport operations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current HR license - essential for the Landsdale position

• Current HC or MC License - essential for the Swayers Valley position

• Previous experience in a transport, delivery or similar role

• HIAB experience and/or ticket – essential for HR Truck Driver position

• Forklift License – highly regarded

• Fatigue Management training – highly regarded

• MSIC Card – desirable

• Strong understanding of heavy vehicle safety and load restraint requirements

• Good knowledge of Perth metropolitan roads

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable, punctual and professional work ethic

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

• Flexible attitude towards working hours
