Sales Representative - Smart Home Automation / Audio Visual

Harvey Norman Commercial Smart Technologies is seeking a Sales Representative with a passion for our industry. Responsible for designing, specifying, and delivering integrated smart home, automation, home cinema, and commercial and Hospitality AV solutions across residential, commercial and hospitality projects throughout NSW/ACT.

Based in our ACT Mitchell Branch, working closely with developers, architects, builders, consultants, and end users, this role combines technical system design, consultative sales, and project coordination to deliver scalable, high-performance technology solutions. Key platforms include Control4, and leading AV technology brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grow automation and commercial AV sales opportunities
• Design and specify integrated technology solutions tailored to client requirements
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and equipment schedules
• Manage projects from initial consultation through to delivery
• Build strong relationships with developers, architects, builders, consultants, and technology partners
• Maintain sales pipelines, forecasting, and CRM activities
• Support successful project delivery through collaboration with internal teams and integrators

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in smart home automation, AV integration, or commercial AV sales/design
• Strong knowledge of automation systems and distributed audio/video, and commercial AV systems
• Experience across custom residential, MDU, BTR, hospitality, and commercial projects
• Strong consultative sales, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings, AV schematics, and system designs
• Highly organised with strong quoting, CRM, and project coordination capabilities
