Personal Care Worker

Residency by Dillons is a boutique family run aged care facility located in the heart of Narrogin. Our home provides residents with equal access to care in a supportive and friendly environment. We respect residents' traditional and cultural backgrounds and provide an environment of peace, security, and harmony, allowing them to live creatively and independently. Please note that this is a regional facility and you will need to reside locally to be eligible for this position.

We are currently seeking Casual Personal Care Workers to join our team. We are proud of the team orientation in our work culture and innovative management practices with a focus on quality resident care.

Requirements:

• Certificate III in Aged Care and/ or equivalent. 

• Demonstrates genuine desire to care for frail aged people.

• Able to effectively communicate in written and oral English.

• Current flu and Covid vaccination record highly regarded.

• Willing to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate.

• Must be willing to work a variety of shifts.

• Must be able to start immediately.

• Must already reside locally. Please confirm your location and availability for shifts at our Narrogin facility in your cover letter.

Responsibilities/ Duty Description:

• Deliver care and support in accordance with residents’ care needs. 

• Read and follow each residents individual care plans or instruction and guidance from the Registered Nurse. 

• Recognize and report changes in residents’ health care status. 

• Administer medication to residents, safely and correctly in accordance with Policy & Procedure. 

• Assists residents to maintain the optimum level of health and well being 

• Encourage residents to maximize their independence. 

• Encourage and enable residents to participate in a wide variety of life’s experiences. 

• Respect the rights of each resident to make informed choices about their health care requirements and residency. 

• Assist in ensuring that the environment is safe for staff and residents and is as home-like for residents as possible. 

• Identify and report potential or actual hazards to the Registered Nurse.
