• $100,000–$130,000 + super + company vehicle, laptop & phone

Overview of the Role

This is a hands-on Senior Security Technician position responsible for installing, programming, commissioning and maintaining integrated electronic security systems. You will lead projects on site, provide technical guidance to junior technicians and apprentices, and work closely with Project Managers to deliver high-quality outcomes.

This role is best suited to an experienced technician who has strong commissioning capability rather than purely installation experience.

About the Role

• Install, program, commission and maintain integrated electronic security systems.

• Lead site installations and mentor junior technicians and apprentices.

• Commission and troubleshoot alarm, access control and CCTV systems.

• Configure IP CCTV, video management systems and network-connected devices.

• Complete structured cabling, equipment installation and system testing.

• Read drawings and specifications to deliver projects to Australian Standards.

• Complete client handovers, testing documentation and commissioning reports.

• Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Service Coordinators and the wider operations team.

You are a technically capable security professional with proven commissioning experience who enjoys solving problems and delivering quality outcomes. You take pride in your work, communicate well with clients and colleagues, and are confident leading projects while supporting the development of less experienced team members.

About the Ideal Candidate

Essentials:

• Proven experience programming and commissioning Inner Range Integriti and/or Inception.

• Strong experience commissioning IP CCTV systems, ideally including NX Witness.

• Experience commissioning access control systems.

• Bosch Solution 6000/2000 commissioning experience.

• Ability to install equipment and complete structured cabling where required.

• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.

• Current Queensland Security Installer Licence.

• ACMA Open Cabling Registration.

• White Card.

• Current Driver Licence.

Desirables:

• Gallagher Command Centre.

• ICT Protege GX/WX.

• Milestone XProtect.

• Genetec.

• Hanwha, Axis or Avigilon CCTV.

• Fibre optic cabling experience.

• Electrical Licence.

• Working at Heights, EWP, First Aid & CPR.
