Part-Time/Casual Senior Bookkeeper

We are a small, busy Accounting Practice in Eastwood, with our major clients in the Qld Clubs and construction industries and smaller clients in service industries.

We require the assistance of a highly experienced bookkeeper on a part-time/casual basis, approximately 15 hours a week with a definite growth path as your skills and experience and our workload increases.

The new position in our small team will share the tasks within Accounts Payable processing, bookkeeping and reporting.  Our busiest period is the first two weeks of the month, so more hours are likely to be available then. There is some flexibility around days and hours and for the first time I am looking at hiring for this role with a fresh perspective, offering the role to remote applicants.

This opportunity is perfect for a contractor who works for multiple clients, someone looking to supplement another part-time role, a parent with school aged children, or someone returning to the workforce.

We need an experienced person who can hit the ground running, particularly with skills in the following areas:

• Experience with Xero essential

• Experience with Excel essential

• Experience with accounts payable essential

• Accurate and great attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work autonomously

• Excellent problem solving skills

• Confidence to ask for assistance when needed

• Experience in hospitality and construction industries desirable, but not critical.
