Registered Nurse | Intensive Care Unit

Troocoo Healthcare is seeking experienced Registered Nurses with a minimum of 3 years Intensive Care Unit experience for a short term contract in Mackay, Queensland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ICU RN looking to secure a regional Queensland contract with a well established hospital service.

 Contract Details

• Location: Mackay, Queensland
• Position: Registered Nurse – Nurse Grade 5
• Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Contract Dates: 14 September 2026 – 11 October 2026
• Hours: Up to 80 hours per fortnight
• Roster: As per roster
• Shifts: Rotating 8-hour and 12-hour shifts

About the Role

Working within the Intensive Care Unit, you will provide high quality nursing care to critically ill patients while working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.

This opportunity is suited to an experienced ICU RN who is confident working in a fast paced critical care environment and can quickly adapt to a new clinical setting.

Essential Experience Minimum 3 years recent Intensive Care Unit experience is mandatory.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

• Strong ICU nursing experience
• Confidence caring for critically ill patients
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to adapt quickly to a new hospital environment
• Current clinical competencies relevant to ICU practice

Desirable Experience The following experience will be highly regarded:

• ieMR experience and proficiency
• MetaVision experience and proficiency
• Previous experience working within an Australian hospital environment
• Previous Queensland hospital experience
• Previous Mackay HHS experience
