About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on General Maintenance Handyman to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining our food manufacturing facilities, equipment, and general infrastructure to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient workplace.

The successful candidate will be proactive, organised, and capable of working independently while also supporting the wider operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Stainless steel welding and general fabrication/welding repairs

• Repair and maintenance of cool room and refrigeration panels

• Basic plumbing repairs, including hoses, fittings and pipework

• Repair and maintenance of trolleys, racks and other equipment

• General building maintenance and upkeep across multiple facilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime

• Operate a forklift safely to move equipment, materials and maintenance supplies

• Liaise with contractors and suppliers for maintenance services and materials

• Negotiate competitive pricing for maintenance materials and supplies

• Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts and maintenance materials

• Ensure the workshop and maintenance areas are clean, organised and safe

• Complete maintenance records and report works completed

• Report directly to the QA Manager and General Manager

• Travel between company sites as required

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Proven experience in a maintenance, handyman or facilities maintenance role

• Experience in stainless steel welding and general welding

• Basic plumbing knowledge

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication skills

• Current Forklift Licence

• Current Australian Driver's Licence
