• Contract Length: 3-month initial contract (with possible 6-month extension)

• Work Schedule: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

Randstad is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Information Access Specialist to join a prominent State Government agency in Perth. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end processing of statutory information requests, driving compliance and transparency across the organization.

• End-to-End FOI Processing: Coordinate, manage, and process Freedom of Information (FOI) applications in accordance with statutory requirements under the Freedom of Information Act 1992.
• Decision Making & Consultation: Act as the primary decision maker for information release applications, actively liaising and consulting with internal and external stakeholders.
• Governance & Policy: Develop, maintain, and update policies, procedures, and governance documentation regarding FOI and information disclosure functions.
• Agency Awareness: Raise organizational awareness of FOI obligations and best practices.
• Project Support: Support the broader Enterprise Information Management branch with key information management projects and initiatives.
• Travel: Occasional travel between metropolitan and regional offices may be required.

• Proven end-to-end experience coordinating and processing Freedom of Information (FOI) applications within a government or highly regulated environment.
• Strong legislative interpretation capabilities or relevant legal/regulatory experience (transferable legal background highly regarded).
• Demonstrated experience acting as a primary decision-maker on complex statutory release matters.
• High-level stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Experience in policy development, governance documentation, and driving organizational compliance.
