Abergeldie is a majority locally owned contractor with 30 years’ industry experience in Australia and New Zealand. We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors. Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.

About The Opportunity

With a strong portfolio of current and upcoming work across Sydney, we're looking for experienced Health and Safety Advisors to join the team. Supporting projects currently under construction, as well as upcoming works across Western Sydney and the Inner West, you'll work closely with operational leaders to drive safe outcomes, build capability and champion our safety-first culture.

As Abergeldie continues to secure and deliver key infrastructure projects across the region, you'll play an important role in partnering with project teams to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with legislative and company requirements. Engaging with site teams, subcontractors and clients, you'll provide practical guidance across all stages of project delivery while contributing to the continuous improvement of our health and safety performance.

Joining a well-established contractor, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on project teams delivering critical infrastructure across Western Sydney, the Inner West and surrounding regions

What You’ll Bring To The Team

Demonstrated experience as a Health and Safety Advisor within construction/civil infrastructure.Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, standards and industry best practice.Experience undertaking site inspections, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across project teams.The ability to influence positive safety behaviours and promote a strong safety culture.A proactive, solutions-focused approach to risk management and continuous improvement.A Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum) or Diploma in Work Health and SafetyA current White Card.A current driver's licence.
