Finance Officer - Projects

About the role

Airport Development Group (ADG) is seeking an experienced Projects Cost Officer (Finance) to join our Corporate Services team. This position plays a key role in providing accurate and reliable cost control for ADG’s capital projects, supporting confident decision-making and financial reporting across all stages of project delivery.

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner – Assets, you’ll work closely with Project Managers, Finance, and senior stakeholders to monitor project expenditure, manage budgets and forecasts, and ensure financial discipline across ADG’s capital portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with Project Managers and Finance to provide accurate, timely financial information on all active projects.
• Developing, managing, and updating project budgets and forecasts, including contingency and capitalisation processes.
• Monitoring expenditure and commitments, analysing cost trends, and identifying potential risks or variances.
• Ensuring compliance with financial policies, delegations, and accounting standards.
• Raising and managing purchase orders, receipting, and invoice matching.
• Preparing monthly reports, KPIs, and project cost updates.
• Supporting internal and external audit processes and maintaining robust financial controls.

About you

You’re a proactive, detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a project environment. You enjoy working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and have strong analytical and communication skills.

To be successful, you’ll bring:

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field.
• 3+ years’ post-qualification experience, ideally within a large asset or capital project environment.
• Strong understanding of project cost control principles and financial systems.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and practical experience using corporate ERP systems (TechnologyOne experience desirable).
• Eligibility to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (includes police record check).
