About the role
Women's & Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
Thrive Physio Plus | Highgate, Adelaide
$110,000 – $145,000 + super (FTE)
Part-time or full-time | Minimum 3 days, flexible for the right person
The short version
We're an established private practice in Highgate seeing close to 500 clients a week. We've just expanded to a 10-room clinic with a full on-site rehabilitation gym.
Our women's and pelvic health service has more demand than we can currently meet — strong internal referrals, growing external demand, and a predominantly private-paying client base. We're looking for a clinician to take it on properly.
The mentoring, specifically
Most ads promise mentoring and mean a monthly chat with someone who doesn't do your kind of work.
Ours is two things, both concrete:
External. We fund ongoing mentoring with Pregnancy and Pelvic Physio Mentor, one of the leading pelvic health clinicians in the country, who we've worked with closely for several years. Not a one-off course — an ongoing relationship, paid for by us.
Internal. Regular scheduled sessions with our experienced women's health physiotherapist. Case discussion, clinical reasoning, and someone in the building who understands your caseload.
If you're already experienced, this is professional company rather than supervision. If you're building, it's the fastest path we know.
How the money works
We'll be direct about this, because most ads aren't.
Guaranteed base of $90,000–$100,000 depending on experience, plus performance incentives. Super is on top of everything.
The base is a floor, not a description of the job. What our team actually earns:
Established clinicians: $110,000 – $130,000 + super
Our strongest performers: $130,000 – $145,000 + super
Part-time earnings are calculated proportionately. There are no hidden hurdles or deliberately complicated calculations — we'll explain the full structure, including what's required to reach each level, before you progress through the process.
Strong earnings shouldn't come at the cost of clinical quality or a sustainable week, and our model is built accordingly.
What the week actually looks like
60-minute initial consults, 30-minute follow-ups — time to assess and communicate properly
Dedicated pelvic health room with real-time ultrasound and everything you need to do your job at the highest level
Dedicated administrative and marketing support behind the service
Protected non-clinical time
Genuine flexibility: school-hours arrangements, compressed weeks, and a structure built around your commitments
Your caseload
Depending on your experience and interests:
Pelvic floor dysfunction, including incontinence and prolapse
Pregnancy-related and pelvic girdle pain
Postnatal rehabilitation
Return to running, strength training and exercise
Persistent pelvic pain
Supporting women to stay active through every life stage
You'll have autonomy to practise according to your own clinical reasoning, inside a collaborative environment with clear standards.
Who we think this suits
You're an experienced women's and pelvic health physiotherapist who's confident across the full range of presentations, and you're ready for a service you can genuinely shape rather than a caseload you inherit.
You'll need:
Current AHPRA registration
Training and experience in women's or pelvic health physiotherapy
Confidence assessing and managing a broad range of pelvic health presentations
Strong clinical reasoning and communication
Availability of at least three days per week, though we'll be flexible for the right person
If you're earlier in your career: we'd still like to hear from you, provided you have relevant post-graduate training and can competently perform pelvic floor assessments. The funded external mentoring exists precisely to close the gap between competent and confident, and we'd rather invest in the right person than wait for the perfect CV.
For an experienced clinician, there's more available
If you want it, there's a genuine opportunity to lead and grow this service — shaping how it develops, contributing to programs and systems, and building something that carries your thinking.
That's an opportunity, not a prerequisite. Plenty of excellent clinicians want to treat well and go home, and that's a completely legitimate answer here.
About us
Thrive Physio Plus opened in 2018. We've built our reputation on high-quality care and genuine long-term client relationships, and our clinical model runs in three stages:
Resolve — help clients understand what's happening and get meaningful relief
Restore — rebuild movement, strength and confidence
Thrive — build resilience so they stay active long term
Our directors are present, accessible and still on the tools. We take the work seriously and ourselves considerably less so.
Want to talk first?
Most people right for this role aren't actively looking. If that's you, email me and we'll organise a confidential chat, and it goes no further.
Otherwise, send your CV and a short note about what you're looking for to **********@thrivephysioplus.com.au
