About the role

At Jarra, finance sits at the centre of the business and plays a key role in investment, development and strategic decision-making. The Finance Manager works directly with the founders and senior leadership team, to lead our finance function and oversee a capable team of finance and accounting professionals.

The Finance Manager is responsible for the accounts team, systems and processes, group consolidation, fund accounting, management reporting, cashflow forecasting, inter-entity funding and loan management, tax and compliance coordination, and company secretarial matters across a growing portfolio of businesses and investment vehicles. This role is key to providing financial analysis and commercial insights that support investment decisions, capital management, business growth and investor reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the group's finance function

• Lead and manage the finance team and establish priorities and reporting deadlines

• Provide oversight of the accounting function and ensure appropriate financial controls are maintained

• Review and analyse group accounts and performance, and present monthly management reports to the Directors

• Own Group cash-flow forecasting and liquidity management

• Provide oversight of GST and taxation matters

• Maintain overall oversight of AFSL-related financial and compliance requirements

• Own the relationship with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors and other professional advisers
