About the role
At Paw Patrol Dog Daycare & Training, we believe dogs deserve more than simply being supervised.
They deserve people who truly understand them.
Since opening our doors in 2015, we've been committed to creating a safe, structured environment where dogs can build confidence, develop appropriate social skills and simply enjoy being dogs. Through both our daycare and training services, our goal has always been to help dogs and their families live happier lives together.
We're incredibly proud of the reputation we've built throughout Geelong over the past 11 years, and we're looking for someone who shares our passion, values and commitment to exceptional care to join our team.
This isn't just another job working with dogs.
It's an opportunity to become part of a team that genuinely cares about raising the standard of dog care while continuing to learn, grow and make a real impact every single day.
Why you'll love working with usWe believe great workplaces don't happen by accident.
We've worked hard to create a supportive, positive team culture where people enjoy coming to work, encourage one another, continue learning and genuinely celebrate each other's successes.
Our standards are high because the dogs in our care deserve nothing less, but so is the support you'll receive. Whether you've worked with dogs for years or are looking to grow your knowledge, you'll be surrounded by experienced trainers and handlers who are passionate about helping both dogs and teammates succeed.
If you're someone who values teamwork, positivity, continual learning and meaningful work, you'll fit right in.
What your day might look likeNo two days are ever the same, but your role may include:
Welcoming clients and helping every dog (and their owner) feel comfortable from the moment they arrive.
Supervising dogs of all breeds, sizes and personalities in a safe, structured daycare environment.
Reading dog body language and proactively managing play to ensure positive and appropriate interactions.
Building trusting relationships with both dogs and their owners.
Maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our facility.
Capturing photos and videos throughout the day to share on our social media platforms.
Completing occasional dog walking and in-home pet sitting visits.
Continuing to develop your knowledge of dog behaviour, handling and communication alongside our experienced team.
Have a genuine interest in understanding dog behaviour, not just playing with dogs.
Stay calm, observant and confident in busy environments.
Love being active and don't mind getting your hands dirty.
Take pride in doing every task well, even the little ones.
Communicate confidently and professionally with both clients and teammates.
Are reliable, proactive and happy to jump in wherever needed.
Enjoy working as part of a close-knit, supportive team.
Are eager to learn, accept feedback and continually develop your skills.
This role is incredibly rewarding, but it's also physically demanding.
You'll spend most of your day on your feet, walking, bending, lifting, cleaning and working with high-energy dogs. You'll be working in all seasons, and maintaining our high standards of cleanliness is a huge part of what we do.
If you're looking for meaningful work where you can genuinely improve dogs' lives while working alongside an experienced, passionate team, we'd love to meet you.
RequirementsCurrent driver's licence and own reliable car.
Smartphone (required for our scheduling and pet sitting software).
Physically fit and capable of handling active dogs and a physically demanding workload.
Confident walking dogs of all sizes, including large breeds.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Professional experience working with dogs is highly regarded, however training will be provided for the right person.
If this sounds like the kind of work you'd be proud to do, we'd love to hear from you.
Please send us your resume along with a cover letter telling us a little about yourself, why you'd love to join the Paw Patrol team and what excites you most about working with dogs.
We can't wait to meet you.
