ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting 6-month seasonal opportunity for a Cricket Operations Officer to join the Cricket department during this huge summer of cricket! You will be responsible for managing the delivery of talent pathway championships, ensuring they are executed with appropriate planning and logistical support.

Reporting to the Cricket Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for:

• Coordinating the delivery of national cricket championships and community cricket events, ensuring all operational and logistical requirements are executed successfully.
• Managing match day operations, including equipment, officials, scorers, live streaming, catering, match documentation, and venue readiness.
• Overseeing competition administration, including fixture uploads, results management, ladders, points tracking, and PlayHQ administration.
• Coordinating travel and logistics for teams and event personnel, including flights, accommodation, transport, and other event-related requirements.
• Supporting event planning, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, including tournament program delivery, working group administration, budget management, awards functions, and post-event reporting.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Tertiary qualifications in Sports Management or a related field (preferred but not essential)
• Minimum 1 - 3 years' experience in an event related role
• Excellent planning and logistics skills
• Experience understanding and managing budgets for large scale events
• Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and manage multiple projects and responsibilities at the same time
• Personal qualities aligned with the values of our organisation
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• A significant amount of travel will be required.
