As an Electrician at AKD, you'll play a vital role in supporting our production team and ensuring the reliability of our manufacturing equipment. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you'll bring your technical expertise to a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment where safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.

Experience with Allen Bradley / Rockwell PLC systems and Control Logix is highly regarded, and you'll have the opportunity to build on these skills as part of a supportive team. This role also offers an attractive hourly rate with opportunities for overtime.

What you'll be doing

• Leading with an unwavering commitment to Workplace Health and Safety

• Carrying out preventative electrical maintenance to keep our plant running smoothly

• Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults with accuracy and efficiency

• Investigating, eliminating, and documenting VSD‑related issues

• Ensuring all work complies with relevant standards and regulations

• Planning, organising, and prioritising tasks to support production needs

What you'll bring

• A Trade Certificate in electrical qualifications

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a practical, solutions‑focused mindset

• Confident analytical and communication skills

• Basic computer literacy and comfort working with digital systems

• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a skilled team
