QA/QC and Commissioning Technical Advisor

This position will provide independent quality and commissioning support for infrastructure projects, ensuring assets are built, tested, and ready for operation in line with required standards and obligations.

You will work independently primarily site based on complex projects, providing expert advice and helping deliver strong quality and commissioning outcomes across stakeholders.

What you can expect with this role

• Play a pivotal role in the delivery of water main renewal projects that support Perth’s aging water network.
• Enjoy a mix of site and office-based work (approximately 60% site, 40% office).
• Supervise construction activities and ensure quality compliance with Water Corporation standards.
• Act as the key link between contractors and project management teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Identify innovative solutions to minimise customer impacts during construction.
• Engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Apply your technical expertise in water, wastewater, and drainage infrastructure.
• Contribute to the delivery of major and minor capital projects with a strong focus on quality control.

Your skills and experience

For this role, we are looking for great talent with: 

About you

• You will have an Engineering degree level qualification (Civil or Mechanical) or Trade Certificate (Plumber or Mechanical Fitter) and a comprehensive working knowledge of the local Water industry and associated standards
• Extensive field based experience in civil construction, inspection and QA/commissioning of water industry infrastucture
• Relevant experience in contract administration support, Superintendent's representation or Quality Management roles
• Current C class drivers' licence
