About the role
Location: Clayton, VIC
Company: RoboFit
At RoboFit, we are delivering the future of neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation today. We combine expert clinical reasoning with Australia’s first neuro-controlled exoskeletons to help our community redefine what is possible.
The community we support is diverse, resilient, and deeply motivated. We work with individuals living with spinal cord injuries, stroke, MS, Parkinson’s, brain injuries, and complex musculoskeletal conditions. We aren't just about exercise; we are about independence, autonomy, and celebrating those "1% wins" that fundamentally change a person's daily life. Our Clayton clinic is expanding, and we are looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist to bridge the gap between advanced robotic technology and real-world functional outcomes.
We win together. Our close-knit clinic culture is built entirely on collaboration—there is no internal competition here, just a shared purpose to support our community. We believe in cross-disciplinary growth, meaning you will work daily alongside Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists to ensure care is completely aligned with each client's goals.
We also believe in a "pick up the broom" mentality. No matter your experience level, everyone on our team participates in case reviews, clinical mentoring, and education, and contributes wherever the team needs support.
As our Occupational Therapist, you will deliver person-centred therapy focusing on functional improvement, independence, and quality of life. Your job is to ensure the physical gains clients make in our high-tech devices translate directly into meaningful daily activities, home independence, and community participation.
Person-Centred Therapy: Design and execute individualised intervention plans focusing on independent living, upper-limb retraining, energy conservation, sensory and emotional regulation and training, and community reintegration.
Use & Learn Cutting-Edge Tech: Work with robotics and emerging neuro-rehab tech, contributing directly to research in neuroplasticity as the field evolves.
Collaborate Across Disciplines: Partner with our internal team and external community health professionals to provide a holistic, unified approach to client care.
Build Genuine Relationships: Connect deeply with clients, families, and support networks both inside the clinic and out in the community.
Navigate Funding Schemes: Support clients across various frameworks including NDIS, DVA, iCare, NIISQ, MAC, and private health, including writing the high-quality reports required to help clients access and maintain their funding.
Grow the Team Culture: Actively participate in clinical mentoring, peer reviews, and collaborative problem-solving.
You are an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist who brings curiosity, compassion, and creativity to every session. You might have a solid background in neuro-rehab, or you might be earlier in your career and hungry to build your skills the right way. Either way, you show up for your clients and your teammates.
You’ll fit right in if you:
Feel genuinely energised when a client hits a milestone they didn't think was possible.
Thrive in a collaborative team environment and share knowledge freely.
Are excited by emerging technology and the future of neuroplasticity research.
Communicate clearly and empathetically with clients, families, and funding bodies.
Want a sustainable clinical role that protects your wellbeing.
Experience with neurological populations is ideal, but we welcome applications from OTs who have a genuine passion to move into this space and are ready to learn.
A Team That Wins Together: A supportive clinic culture with a zero-competition, team-first mentality.
Personalised Development: A dedicated personal CPD budget, internal/external professional development, regular case reviews, and peer mentoring through our structured RoboPals program.
Work-Life Balance for Real: Neuro-rehab is emotionally and physically demanding. Flexibility, genuine care for your wellbeing, and manageable caseloads are part of the deal.
A Future Worth Growing Into: As RoboFit expands, so do your opportunities. We offer pathways into leadership roles, specialised clinical streams, and research involvement.

CPR & First Aid certifications
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel locally for community visits if required
Ability to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check
