Programming Coordinator

The Programming Coordinator will:

• Under direction, develop, deliver and evaluate programs and events including curriculum-linked activities, tours, talks, and workshops to engage priority audiences online, onsite, and offsite.
• Perform administrative functions associated with program and education delivery such as coordinating contractors, responding to enquiries and facilitating bookings.
• Maintain appropriate systems and records, collate date and conduct desktop research to draft routing reports, meeting minutes, memorandum and correspondence as required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues onsite at Queensland Museum Tropics and across Queensland Museum to set priorities, communicate requirements, optimise efficiency and delivery high-quality programming.
• Build and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders including education, community, cultural, sector and industry networks
• Comply with Queensland Museum policies, procedures and appropriate legislation including a commitment to creating a child safe and youth friendly learning environment.
• Contribute to the safety culture of QMN by reporting all incidents and hazards and ensuring work is undertaken in the safest way possible, following all QMN WHS policies and/or procedures and guidelines relevant to the job.
• A current Blue Card is required.

While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, formal learning and/or experience in education settings, including Australian Curriculum knowledge and understanding, as well as administrative and visitor experience experience is desirable.
