Healthcare Transport Services - Communications and Dispatch Operations Team

Patient Transport Dispatch Operators coordinates the movement of patient transport vehicles, field personnel and non-emergency transport services. They serve as the central communication and dispatch hub—receiving transport requests, prioritizing tasks, and directing resources to ensure prompt, safe, and efficient healthcare transport service.

Core Responsibilities

• Communication: Relay instructions, route updates, and job details to field staff via radio, phone, or computer systems.
• Scheduling & Routing: Plan and manage daily schedules, optimizing routes using mapping or transport management software while accounting for traffic and weather.
• Monitoring: Track the real-time location and status of the fleet or personnel using GPS.
• Logging: Maintain accurate, up-to-date call logs, manifests, and dispatch records.
• Problem Solving: Resolve scheduling conflicts, handle emergency situations, and address unexpected delays or breakdowns.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Stress Management: Ability to stay calm, clear, and focused in high-pressure or crisis situations.
• Organization: Strong multi-tasking and time-management abilities.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with dispatching software, GPS tracking, and multi-line phone systems.
• Experience: PTO, Ambulance, paramedics, nurses, emergency dispathcers or first responders are often preferred but if you have no experience, thats okay!! as full paid training in dispatch operations is on offer.

Wages per hour is $35.50 + Super and Meals
Part time - Morning, Afternoon amd night shifts available.
24/7 Operation environment.
