About the role
The Canberra Psychology Centre for Children & Families (www.cpccf.com.au) is seeking skilled Psychologists to join our established team in Canberra, ACT. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about providing high-quality mental health services to children, adolescents and families.
Our practice was created in 2014 to provide a centre of excellence for the Canberra community, providing assessment/diagnostics and evidence based therapy to children, adolescents and adults.
Within our Centre, our Assessment Team is dedicated to the provision of high quality, best practice assessment and diagnosis of neurodevelopment disorders (e.g. Autism, ADHD, Specific Learning Disorders etc.)
What you'll be doing
Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and develop individualised treatment plans for clients
Diagnostic assessments and comprehensive reports for childhood developmental disorders
Provide evidence-based psychological interventions and therapies, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy
Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to deliver holistic care
Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the Centre's initiatives
Maintain detailed client records and ensure compliance with professional and ethical standards
Who we are looking for
Clinical and Registered Psychologists
Current AHPRA registration with Psychology Board of Australia
Experience in child and adolescent mental health
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in child and adolescent mental health is required
Clinicians to provide therapy to our client base
Psychologists with experience in, or an interest in training in, assessments (e.g. Autism)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients
Ability to work independently, and collaboratively
Commitment to continuous professional development and upholding ethical standards
Full-time, part-time, permanent or contract
