Maintenance - Duty Technician

Job Description

Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests to minimise disruption and enhance the guest experience.Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, and hotel equipment.Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and fault finding to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the hotels.Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning, and mechanical maintenance in accordance with qualifications and competency.Maintain the presentation and functionality of external façades, public spaces, and high-traffic areas to the highest standard.Undertake painting, patching, and repairs to internal and external surfaces, fixtures, furniture, and equipment.Prepare, mix, and apply paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, and other finishes using appropriate tools and techniques.Repair and install wall coverings, carry out caulking and grouting, and complete finishing works to a high standard.Conduct routine inspections, identify maintenance issues, and report or rectify defects in a timely manner.Follow all Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, safe work procedures, and hotel maintenance standards.Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders using the hotel's maintenance management system.Collaborate effectively with the Engineering team and other hotel departments to ensure efficient operations and exceptional guest satisfaction.
