The Formwork Carpenter will construct, install, and dismantle formwork systems for concrete structures, including walls, columns, slabs, and foundations, in accordance with project specifications and safety requirements. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting drawings, measuring and cutting materials, assembling and bracing formwork, and working closely with site supervisors and other trades to meet project timelines. The role also involves inspecting completed formwork for quality and safety, maintaining tools and equipment, and adhering to company and regulatory safety standards on all sites.Qualifications Demonstrated experience as a Formwork Carpenter in commercial or civil construction environments.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.Strong skills in measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing timber and modular formwork systems.Solid understanding of construction site safety practices and commitment to working safely at all times.Competence in using carpentry tools, power tools, and related equipment, with attention to maintenance and safe operation.Good physical fitness and capability to perform manual handling tasks, work at heights, and in varying site conditions.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, trades, and laborers.Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in carpentry or formwork (or equivalent experience).Current White Card (Construction Induction) and other relevant tickets (e.g., Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform) are highly regarded.Reliable transport to Perth-based and surrounding project sites and willingness to work standard and extended hours as required.
