Driving Instructor

As a Driving Instructor with SAES (Salvos), you will contribute directly to this mission by delivering professional driving lessons, guidance, and mentorship to program participants. About the role  

We are seeking a values-driven Senior Driving Instructor to support the Drive 4 Life program, which assists young people to obtain their driver’s licence and move along the pathway to independence. This role oversees the day-to-day operations of the program, supporting both staff and participants to achieve positive driving outcomes and increased independence. Reporting to the Regional Manager this is a permanent part-time role, located in Oasis Youth Services - Central Coast

You will successfully  

• Coordinate and deliver the Drive for Life Program, providing driving lessons and support to young people facing barriers to gaining their licence, including managing external driving instructors when needed.
• Provide day-to-day operational support to Drive for Life staff across Western Sydney and contribute to the development of program resources and volunteer capacity.
• Maintain accurate client records and data using SAMIS, and support the preparation of reports for funding bodies to ensure program outcomes meet or exceed KPIs.
• Build and maintain effective partnerships with community organisations, schools, employment services, and driving instructors to support referral pathways and program delivery.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and culturally appropriate service environment, while contributing to continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with WHS and organisational policies.

You will have 

• Minimum of Certificate 4 in Motor Vehicle Driving Instruction or Similar & Accreditation as a Driving Instructor in NSW
• A Current Working with Children’s Check
• A Current First-Aid Certificate
• Demonstrated experience working with young people, particularly those facing barriers or from diverse backgrounds.
