WML Consultants seeks a Civil / Land Development Design Drafter to join our Perth branch. In this role, you will prepare high-quality engineering designs and drawings while working alongside our specialist teams to shape community infrastructure and major civil projects across Western Australia. Key ResponsibilitiesDesignDrafting: Prepare engineering design drawings for civil, road, land development, and drainage projects.Compliance: Ensure all work aligns with relevant guidelines, standards, and codes of practice.Site Work: Carry out site inspections and measurements, documenting observations in drawings or records.Systems: Contributes to developing, maintaining, and improving company job management processes.Innovation: Research and include innovative solutions in your designs where appropriate.AdministrationData Gathering: Assist engineering staff to acquire electronic and other data from various sources.Filing: Manage and file documentation, drawings, and maps according to company guidelines.Process Support: Contributes to developing, maintaining, and improving job management systems.Flexibility: Undertake other duties and assignments as required by the team.Contract ManagementTenders: Assist in preparing tender and contract documentation.Inspections: Conduct site inspections and measurements, reporting the results clearly.System Growth: Contributes to developing, maintaining, and improving internal contract management processes.
Selection CriteriaQualifications: Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent practical industry experience.Software Skills: Proficient, hands-on experience using both AutoCAD and 12d.Design Expertise: Strong background in civil, road, drainage, or sub-divisional layouts.Work Rights: Must hold Australian permanent residency or citizenship status.
