Office Administration Traineeship

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in a professional office environment. As a Trainee Office Administrator, you will work alongside our experienced team and gain hands-on exposure to the day-to-day operations of a busy accounting practice. No prior experience is required — we will provide full training and ongoing support to help you grow in the role.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting and assisting clients in person and over the telephone

• Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and mail

• Maintaining and updating client records and databases

• Preparing and formatting documents, letters, and reports

• Organising appointments and managing the firm's calendar

• Filing, scanning, and maintaining accurate physical and digital records

• Assisting with general office duties to ensure the smooth running of the practice

• Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other government bodies as directed

About you

• A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Good organisational skills and attention to detail

• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite highly regarded)

• The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Reliable, punctual, and professional presentation

• Completion of Year 12 (or equivalent); a Certificate III in Business Administration is advantageous but not essential
