Factory Hand / Apprentice (Sheet Metal Fabrication)

Saltiga Metals Pty Ltd is a Sheet Metal Fabrication business, specialising in customised electrical control switchboard cubicles, utility canopies, trays and toolboxes.  We are currently expanding and looking for a general Factory Hand to join our team in Wangara.

This is an entry level position for a candidate looking to gain experience in fabrication and welding, with the role potentially becoming a Sheet Metal Fabrication (light) apprenticeship in the future.  

Experience & Attributes

• No experience necessary (entry level position)

• Current WA Drivers License

• Good listening skills and able to follow instructions

• Reliable and keen to work

• Fit and healthy (heavy lifting / manual tasking)

• Welding experience and forklift license desirable but not essential

Role & Responsibilities 

• Workshop deliveries and pickups (use of work ute)

• Orbital sanding

• Fitting of hardware prior to client handover

• General cleaning and maintenance of workshop

• Assisting tradesman when required

Working hours are from 6am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday with a 3 month probation period, during which time we will assess the candidates suitability for a Sheet Metal Apprenticeship.
