Data Migration Manager

About the Opportunity
Advance Thinking is partnering with a leading enterprise organisation undertaking a significant Salesforce transformation program. We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Manager to lead the planning, governance, execution, and successful delivery of all data migration activities associated with the rollout.

This is a high-profile contract opportunity for a hands-on leader who can bridge business and technical teams while ensuring data quality, integrity, and readiness throughout the migration lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and own the end-to-end data migration strategy and delivery plan.
• Lead data migration workstreams across multiple business and technology stakeholders.
• Define migration scope, approach, governance, milestones, and delivery roadmap.
• Manage data discovery, profiling, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Coordinate migration activities between business teams, Salesforce delivery teams, architects, integration specialists, and vendors.
• Establish and manage migration environments, cutover planning, and deployment readiness activities.
• Drive data quality initiatives and ensure compliance with organisational data governance standards.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate migration-related risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations.
• Lead migration testing, mock conversions, dress rehearsals, and production cutover activities.
• Provide regular reporting and executive-level status updates to project and program leadership.
• Ensure successful transition to business-as-usual support following deployment.

• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data migration programs.
• Previous experience leading data migration activities within Salesforce implementations or transformations.
• Strong understanding of CRM, customer, operational, and master data management principles.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets across multiple source systems.
• Demonstrated experience managing business and technical stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong project management, planning, and governance capabilities.
• Experience managing vendors, consulting partners, and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Salesforce implementation or transformation experience.
• Experience with Salesforce Data Loader, Data Cloud, MuleSoft, Informatica, Talend, or similar migration and integration platforms.
• Experience leading migration cutovers within complex enterprise environments.
• Background in data governance, data quality, or enterprise data management.
• Agile and/or traditional project delivery experience.

• Strong leadership and influencing skills.
• Highly organised and outcomes-focused.
• Able to operate autonomously in complex environments.
• Comfortable working through ambiguity and defining structure where required.
• Commercially minded with a strong focus on delivery outcomes.

• Initial 6-month contract.
