ETERNAL AIR PTY LTD As an Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of residential and commercial air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation systems. You will work closely with our installation and service teams to deliver high-quality HVAC solutions while ensuring compliance with Australian standards and workplace safety requirements.

Task & responsibilities Interpret technical drawings, specifications and work orders to determine installation requirements. Install air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation systems for residential and commercial projects. Mark out installation reference points and install mounting brackets and associated equipment.

Drill, cut, bend and thread pipework for refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Install, repair and replace compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, switches, gauges, valves and related components. Connect refrigeration and air conditioning equipment using brazing, soldering and welding techniques.

Pressure test systems, identify leaks and carry out repairs where required. Evacuate systems using vacuum pumps and recharge systems with the appropriate refrigerant. Test, commission and adjust systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation.

Diagnose faults, overhaul refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, and replace defective components. Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing on HVAC systems. Complete service reports and accurately record maintenance activities, faults identified and corrective actions taken.

Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, environmental regulations and workplace health and safety requirements. Provide professional customer service and maintain positive client relationships while on site.   Qualification & experience Cert III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.

Minimum one/two years' relevant industry experience across Class 2 and commercial projects.   Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Experience with installation, servicing and repair of residential and commercial HVAC systems.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Current driver's licence.
