HC Truck Driver – Casual (Canberra ACT)

Black Label Logistics is an established interstate carrier running general and palletised freight along the Melbourne–Sydney–Brisbane corridor. We’re growing our network and looking for a reliable HC licensed driver based in or willing to travel to our Canberra ACT yard.

This is a casual position with genuine potential to move into full-time work for the right person.

The Role

• Casual HC driver, Canberra ACT based

• Interstate and local runs carrying general/palletised freight

• Flexible rostering to suit operational demand

• Pathway to full-time employment for reliable, compliant drivers

Essential Requirements

• Current HC (Heavy Combination) driver’s licence – no suspensions or major infringements in the last 3 years

• Sound working knowledge of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations

• Demonstrated understanding of fatigue management requirements (BFM/AFM exposure highly regarded)

• Willingness to comply with NHVAS (National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme) standards where applicable

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and functional fitness assessment

• Willingness to undergo random drug and alcohol testing

• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)

• Working with restraint systems – load restraint knowledge (Load Restraint Guide compliance)

• Sound driving history – National Driver Work History Report may be requested

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision

• Strong communication skills for liaising with dispatch, customers, and depot staff

Desirable (Not Essential)

• Experience with electronic work diaries (EWD) / fatigue management apps

• B-double or B-triple experience

• Prior experience in general freight, palletised freight, or line-haul work
