Primary Classroom Teacher, Junior School (Girls)

The Role

A highly skilled, innovative and experienced educator is sought for a 12-month full-time fixed term replacement position at our Junior School (girls), Moonee Ponds Campus commencing on 25 January 2027 to 10 December 2027.

Classroom teachers work collaboratively with colleagues and assist in the development of a curriculum that supports student care and wellbeing and the school’s culture of a thinking school. 

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

• relevant experience as a generalist classroom teacher
• expertise in the curriculum and in current pedagogical thinking;
• a commitment to student care and well-being;
• an understanding of and commitment to teaching single sex classes; and
• support for the school’s values, including support for a broad co-curricular program.

Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and hold VIT registration. 

The School

Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School has almost 3000 students from K-12 at campuses in Moonee Ponds, Essendon and Keilor East. We have outstanding staff, facilities and programmes to enhance student wellbeing and learning and develop creative, caring and critical thinkers.
