About the opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Manager, Mineral Tenements to lead the Mineral Tenements team within the Resource Tenure Branch of the Regulation and Compliance Division.
Reporting to the Director, Resource Tenure, you will lead a team of eight staff responsible for administering the Mining Act 1971 and associated regulations. You will ensure the grant and management of mining and exploration tenure is delivered in accordance with legislative requirements, departmental policies and operational standards.
This role provides strategic leadership, expert advice and policy direction across complex mineral tenement matters while driving business improvement initiatives and supporting the delivery of secure legal tenure outcomes for South Australia's mining and exploration sector.

Desirable: Qualifications in management, policy or a legal related discipline.
Remuneration:
Classificaiton: ASO8
Salary Range: $125,970 to $138,264 per annum (plus superannuation)
Full time role
Working 37.5 hours per week.
Special Conditions:
This position is classified as a designated position and appointment is subject to a satisfactory National Police Clearance.
Some out of hours work and intra-state travel (including overnight absences) may be required.
The incumbent is expected to uphold the ethical behaviour and professional integrity standards contained in the Public Sector Act 2009.
