Fiona Stanley Hospital is currently seeking a permanent, full-time Clinical Nurse Educator to join the team within the Acquired Brain Injury Unit.

Position Profile and Role

In this role, you will:

• Identify strategies to promote and embed a learning culture that supports positive patient outcomes and delivery of a patient-centred service.
• Collaborate with the Unit Manager in development and management of orientation and performance development programs to meet the education and training needs of nursing/midwifery staff within the unit.
• Collaborate with the Unit Manager to determine personal and professional competencies integral to care delivery in the local unit and required of nursing/midwifery staff.
• Under the direction of the Unit Manager oversees all individual staff performance appraisal and development activities within the unit.

This position seeks professional guidance and professional supervision from the Nurse Director - Education.

Fremantle Hospital is a 300-bed specialist hospital delivering high-quality aged care, mental health, rehabilitation, planned surgery and medical services. Supporting the tertiary and quaternary services of Fiona Stanley Hospital, Fremantle Hospital provides a broad range of specialist care across areas including orthopaedics, general and plastic surgery, ENT, specialised hand surgery, ophthalmology, urology, vascular, endoscopy, dental and maxillofacial, and women’s health services.
