Library/Tourism/Event Officer - Casual

Cloncurry Shire Council is seeking a casual Library/Tourism/Events Officer to join the team.

• $44 per hour (inclusive of casual loading)

Cloncurry Shire Council is seeking a casual staff member to work with the Community Services Team.  The role provides support across key cultural and tourism facilities, including the Bob McDonald Library, Dr David Harvey-Sutton Gallery, Cloncurry Unearthed Visitor Information Centre and Museum, and John Flynn Place Museum and Art Gallery.

Key responsibilities include assisting patrons with library services, promoting local attractions, managing visitor information, handling retail and cash transactions, and maintaining museum and library spaces. You will also support event coordination, venue administration, and customer service while ensuring a welcoming and engaging environment for all visitors.

This casual role offers training opportunities in reception and event support, as well as hands-on experience in community service delivery. If you have strong communication skills, a passion for tourism and local history, and an interest in library services, we’d love to hear from you!
