Contracts Manager – Telecommunications / Infrastructure

Melbourne | Hybrid Working | Contract to 31 December 2026 | Potential Extension

An opportunity is available for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a large, established organisation delivering complex telecommunications and infrastructure projects.

Working closely with project, commercial and operational teams, you will provide commercial and contractual support across a portfolio of projects, helping drive strong commercial outcomes, manage contractual risk and ensure compliance.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can hit the ground running, confidently engage with clients and subcontractors, and manage everything from day-to-day contract administration through to negotiations, claims and commercial strategy.

The Role
Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a key commercial representative across client and supply chain relationships
• Providing commercial and contractual support to project teams
• Managing contract administration and ensuring contractual obligations are met
• Developing strategies around potential claims and disputes
• Leading commercial negotiations relating to variations, claims and renewals
• Identifying commercial risks and developing appropriate mitigation strategies
• Driving improvements across commercial policies, processes and procedures
• Supporting revenue assurance initiatives and minimising revenue leakage
• Managing commercial relationships and working with stakeholders to resolve issues
• Supporting approval and governance processes
• Managing the timely onboarding of subcontractors and supply chain partners
• Preparing and negotiating supply chain contracts and work orders
• Ensuring relevant statutory and contractual compliance
• Building strong relationships across commercial, operational, legal, finance and other business functions
• Acting as a key customer-facing commercial contact

About You
To be successful, you will bring:

• 5+ years' experience in commercial and/or contract management
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to deliver tangible commercial outcomes
• A sound understanding of contract and construction law
• Experience with project commercial administration and contract management systems
• Demonstrated experience managing contracts, claims, variations and commercial negotiations
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• The ability to work effectively with clients, project teams and subcontractors
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work across a broad range of commercial and contractual activities
• Australian citizenship and the ability to complete a Police Check

Experience within telecommunications and/or construction environments will be highly regarded.
