Who are we looking for?
We're partnering with a highly regarded education institution to engage an experienced Senior Legal Counsel for a 6-month full-time assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with strong expertise in property, construction, infrastructure and commercial contracting to join a collaborative in-house legal team and provide strategic support on a diverse portfolio of projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Provide strategic and practical legal advice on property, construction, infrastructure and related commercial matters.
Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on major capital works, development and infrastructure projects.
Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, contracts and project documentation.
Advise on procurement, project delivery, governance, risk management and compliance matters.
Work closely with business leaders and external advisors to support the successful delivery of key major projects.
To join us, you will:
Have at least 7 years PQE ideally gained from top or mid-tier law firms or in-house (with strong legal training)
Bring strong experience across property, construction, infrastructure and commercial contracting matters.
Have the ability to provide pragmatic, solutions-focused legal advice to a diverse range of stakeholders.
Experience within education, government, infrastructure or other large and complex organisations will be highly regarded.
Be available to commence at short notice or immediately.
