Registered Nurse - Cath Lab Recovery

About the role

Mater Private Hospital Townsville has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Cath Lab Recovery Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join our Day Procedure. As a Cath Lab Recovery nurse you will be working across Endoscopy, Day Infusions and Cath Lab. The successful applicant will be offered Permanent Part Time employment.

Our Perioperative Services Department provides surgical services across 16 theatres, and caters for adults and paediatrics with a variety of surgical specialties.  MPHT boasts brand new state of the art theatre facilities, a catheterization laboratory, separate onsite day site surgery facilities as well as newly implemented robotic surgery involving the da Vinci Surgical System.

Salary range: $35.88 – $38.21 (Enrolled Nurse) per hour plus superannuation and access to salary packaging up to $15,900 annually

Salary range: $41.47 - $53.30 per hour (Registered Nurse Level 1), plus superannuation, and access to salary packaging up to $15,900 annually

What you’ll be doing

As a trained recovery nurse with experience preferred in recovering Cardiac Cath lab cases, you will have a strong work ethic, self-motivation and be able to adapt quickly to changing environments as we work together to deliver first class services. Alongside your caring and engaging manner, you will have a positive attitude and strong communication skills allowing you to engage with our patients and their families.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA (without restrictions)
• Experience preferred but not necessary in either Cath lab or Endoscopy recovery areas.
• Commitment to excellence in nursing practice and professional development
• Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
• Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems
