Lake Macquarie Private Hospital is seeking an Assistant in Nursing to join our dynamic Medical/Surgical wards. This is a fantastic opportunity for Enrolled Nursing students to work within the healthcare sector, gaining valuable clinical skills and knowledge to compliment your current undergraduate studies. Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition
• Support nursing staff with routine clinical tasks and patient observations
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive ward environment
• Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families
• Assist with patient transfers and mobility
• Accurately document care and communicate changes in patient condition

About You: 

• Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or be currently enrolled as an Enrolled Nursing student
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide compassionate care to patients with complex medical needs
• Commitment to maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster
