About the role
Reporting to the Group Sales and Marketing Manager, the Sales & Event Coordinator plays a key role in managing event enquiries from initial contact through to confirmation and handover for delivery. You'll be responsible for driving sales, developing strong client relationships and coordinating the details required to deliver successful weddings, corporate functions, private celebrations and special events. This is a predominantly Monday-to-Friday position. From time to time, you'll also attend events, venue showcases and industry functions outside standard business hours and days to support our clients, partners and business relationships.
Key responsibilities
Manage incoming event enquiries via phone and email, providing prompt and professional service.
Proactively follow up enquiries and convert opportunities into confirmed events.
Build strong relationships with new and existing clients, venue partners and key stakeholders.
Prepare tailored event proposals, quotes and supporting sales documentation.
Coordinate event requirements from confirmation through to operational handover.
Work closely with our Operations, Logistics and Kitchen teams to ensure events are planned accurately and delivered successfully.
Prepare and maintain event orders, invoices, client records and other event documentation.
Identify opportunities to maximise event revenue through thoughtful recommendations and upselling suggestions.
Work towards individual and team sales targets and KPIs.
Conduct site inspections, client meetings and venue appointments as required.
About you
3+ years' experience in event sales, coordination, hospitality or a similar client-facing role.
Demonstrated ability to convert enquiries into confirmed business and achieve sales targets.
Strong knowledge of events, catering and/or hospitality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Confidence building relationships with clients, venue partners and stakeholders at all levels.
Exceptional organisation, time management and attention to detail.
The ability to manage multiple events, priorities and deadlines at the same time.
A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across sales, operations and culinary teams.
Initiative and confidence to work independently when required.
Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
