About the role
The Occupational Therapist delivers evidence-based mental health services to children and young people experiencing severe, complex and enduring mental health conditions within the Redcliffe-Caboolture Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS). Working as part of a multidisciplinary mental health team, the role provides comprehensive occupational therapy assessment, formulation and occupation-based interventions that support recovery, wellbeing and positive outcomes for consumers and their carers.
The successful candidate will work across community-based settings, providing developmentally informed and trauma-informed care to children, adolescents and their families. The role supports consumers through assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic intervention, crisis management and collaborative care coordination, while contributing to quality improvement, professional development and service enhancement initiatives.
