About the Role:

Mechanical (Fitting/Machining) Apprenticeship (4 Year Apprenticeship) 

We are looking for applicants who are interested in completing a Mechanical Fitter Apprenticeship (4 years). During the apprenticeship you will receive formal training and learn how to perform maintenance work under the supervision of qualified tradespeople. Maintenance tasks will be assigned within designated plant areas, and you will be responsible for ensuring that the work meets daily production generation requirements, reliability and safety targets.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain on-the-job training and support from a great team of experts in the field, whilst studying a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting) (MEM30219).

Successful candidate will possess the following: 

• High School Certificate (Year 10 minimum)
• Strong aptitude in Mathematics and English
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• High safety focus
• Motivation to learn and develop new skills
• Manual drivers licence

As these roles are residential, apprentices are required to be living locally within a safe distance to Kogan Creek Power Stataion. Please note travel and accommodation is not provided for these positions.
